Full Day Tour
Departure from your hotel at 7:45 a.m. to take the ferry that crosses in the Tres Puentes sector to Tierra del Fuego. The ferry departs at 09:00 am to arrive in Porvenir at 11:15 am. In Porvenir there is time to visit the Fernando Cordero Rusque Provincial Museum, walks in this place it is possible to propose a lunch or if it is not included in the service, visitors will have the time to buy food directly, at 1:00 p.m. We left for the Penguin Colony, 120 kilometers away, along the International road to the border of San Sebastián, when we reached the Onaisín Crossing, we followed the road to Cameron, traveling 14.5 kilometers. All this is done in approximately 2 hours of travel, bordering the coast and with stops at places of historical and geological interest. We arrive at the Penguins at 3:00 p.m., to stay in the place for 1 hour and a half. During the low season you can see a population of about 35 specimens, from a distance of approximately 20 to 25 meters as spring progresses, they increase in number, being able to observe a much larger group in summer, reaching approximately 90 penguins. The Park is totally natural, there is only one door to control access and a strip marked with stones from the same place to determine how far they can approach for observation and photographs. As this species is very wild, it does not know man and by its very nature it is very curious, so it is very common that if it is not scared, it approaches alone and you can have very close contact. Continuing with the Tour, at 4:30 p.m. we leave for Sombrero Hill, about 180 kilometers and 3 hours of travel, passing through several Estancias where you can see all kinds of typical fauna, finally we arrive at Chilota Bay to take the Ferry and cross Back to the Continent in a trip that does not exceed 30 minutes when disembarking we must travel 200 kms.
