North Patagonia

The Patagonia of Aysén, known as Northern Patagonia, is one of the regions with the largest surface and the smallest unexplored area in Chilean territory. Its population does not exceed 0.01 inhabitants per square meter. At the same time, it is one of the most extensive protected wild areas in the country, with a strong presence of the Valdivian jungle and green forests.

Its main gateway is Balmaceda Airport, in the city of Coyhaique. There is a lot to know in this amazing region. It is possible, for example, to hike through the National Reserves of Cerro Castillo and Tamango, to enjoy a unique landscape of mountains and glaciers; sailing on Lake General Carrera, with its turquoise waters; discover the extravagant shapes of the Marble Chapels; and tour the various glaciers in the region, with the possibility of listening to the sounds and admiring the textures and colors of these ancient ice giants.

Some must-see attractions are: Carretera Austral, Queulat National Park, Puyuhuapi Hot Springs, Coyhaique, San Rafael glacier navigation, Capillas de Mármol and Caleta Tortel.
